Aims :

The goal set by research laboratory is to advance knowledge and to apply chemical research for the contribution of Science to the society.

1. To broadly explore new chemical frontiers in the research of Coordination Chemistry and biological activity of the compounds.
2. To design and model molecules that modulate biological activities.
3. To educate and inspire knowledge platform for future leaders in research.

Objectives:

1. To lead and collaborate in fostering solutions to the research problems by collaborating across the disciplines.
2. To study and perform visionary and innovative research towards betterment of society.

Infrastructure:

• Research centre is having area 1600 sq. ft. It is divided into Two laboratories, containing instrumentation room.

Establishment of Research Centre:

• The permission was given by Savitribai Phule Pune University on 19/09/2013for the initial period of two years - 2013-14 to 2015-16. The affiliation is further extended from 2016-17 to 2020-21.

Research  activity 

• S.B.Jagtap has published his work in the field of Coordination Chemistry .
• He has Participated in National Conferences and International Conferences at  Dubai, Bali (Indonesia).
• As a Chief Organizer, the International Conference on Innovative Trends in Chemical, Physical and Biosciences 2016 was organized
• on 9^thand 10^th2016 at our College. This conference was organized with the aim to conserve well-functioning ecosystems for the profit of human kind, to deliberate recent innovations in the field of sciences. This conference has provided a platform for academicians and students to witness a metamorphic change in the field of Chemistry , Physics and Biosciences. The total participants were 399(112 teachers, 287 students).

Biography

Poonam Kaswan belongs to Churu (Rajasthan), India.  She taught at the college education department for six years (2012-18). She researched (2018-2023) "Transition Metal Complexes of Bi and Tridentate (N, S, O) Donor Ligands in Catalysis and Metal Ion Detection" for her Ph.D. in Chemistry at Amity University, Haryana. Fifteen of her publications have appeared in international journals, conferences and book.  Her thesis is submitted and under review process.
