Courses Information
The Department of Chemistry offers degree courses in a friendly and supportive academic community enabling our students to achieve their full potential and develop into employable graduates and post graduates.
B.Sc. in chemistry (Three year degree course)
M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (Two year PG degree course)
Ph.D. in chemistry
Certificate course in Laboratory and Industrial safety
Facilities
- Five, state of the art, spacious, well designed and equipped laboratories
- Reference books in central library and in departmental library with more than 3000 books and Indian journal of chemistry.
- Advanced research instruments like FTIR (ATR), UV Spectrometer, Rota evaporator. High vacuum pressure pump, muffle furnace, Hydrotherm and routine instruments such as colorimeter, conductometer, pH meter, refractometer etc.
- Separate research laboratory of > 1000 sq. fit. area with adequate facilities
- Thirteen Computers with internet facility.
- 25% of the students carry out their research activity as a short term project as a requirement for their M. Sc. degree.
- NCL, CMET, ARDL, HEMRL, VSI and S. P. Pune University are located in Pune and extend their helping hand to our students for advanced facilities and guidance
- Special attention and mentoring to all students, as well as Support for placement
- Some of our distinguished students are already working in the reputed R&.D Laboratories and Pharmaceutical Industries such as Zydus Cadila, Bio-Indus, Nicolus Pyramal, Ranbuxy, Cipla, Emcure, Lupin, Syngentz, Sai-Pharma, Chem-Biotech, Jubilant-Chemsis, RSI to name a few
